Meaning of "Asha"
"Asha" means "Hope"
For 16 months, Maria immersed herself in the vibrant tapestry of Bangladesh—studying its language, embracing its rich culture, and connecting with its wonderful people. This transformative chapter left an indelible mark on her life.
As she studied the language, one Bengali word resonated with her the most—"Asha" (আশা), meaning "hope." Its essence encapsulates the spirit of her experiences and her own faith in Jesus Christ, and it has become a guiding Light in her present work as a mental health therapist.
She seeks to infuse the spirit of Hope into her practice - especially Hope in Jesus if that is where you seek strength and healing. With the Holy Spirit's help, she aims to create a space where individuals can navigate challenges, find renewal, and experience transformation and sanctification.
This fusion of her past experiences and present calling is the heart of Asha Counseling, where the name not only honors the beauty of the Bengali language but also reflects the enduring Hope found in Jesus Christ.
